Fairly Odd Academy (FOA) is a fresh new performing arts school in Edmonton, Alberta, where creativity takes center stage! From drama and dance to improv and play, our programs are all about helping people shine—fueling imagination, boosting confidence, building communication skills, and easing everyday stress. We’re especially passionate about creating space for neurodivergent learners, with programs and tuition designed to make learning feel fun, engaging, and supportive. Powered by our creative partners at Fairly Odd Productions, FOA is still growing—but we’ve got big dreams and bold ideas for future programs for kids, teens, and adults alike. Drama Without the Stage Fright!
Giggle and Grow is a no-pressure drama class for kids ages 7–11, designed to build confidence and spark creativity—without the stress of performing on stage. Through imaginative games and playful activities, children will explore storytelling, improv, mime, physical comedy, and more. Every session is packed with fun while developing real-world skills like communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
No spotlights—just laughter, imagination, and growth through play.

Groove with Kate is a high-energy dance fitness class that’s all about moving your body, lifting your mood, and having fun—no dance experience required!
Led by Kate, a seasoned dance, movement, and physical theatre artist with over 20 years of experience, this class blends fitness and creativity into one feel-good, full-body workout. Expect to sweat, smile, and leave feeling stronger, more confident, and totally recharged.
Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just starting out, this class meets you where you are. Because Kate believes everybody can dance—you just need to find your groove.

A Creative Wellness Program for Seniors
Laughter keeps us young — and creativity keeps us curious. Wisecracks is a fun, low-pressure program designed especially for seniors who want to stretch their imaginations, share stories, and have a good laugh along the way.
Through a playful mix of improv games, light movement, and creative storytelling, participants rediscover the fun of spontaneous thinking and the power of connecting through humour. No experience or performance skills needed — just a willingness to say “yes, and…” and join in the fun.
Beyond the giggles, Wisecracks is a wellness boost in disguise: laughter lowers stress, creativity keeps the mind sharp, and community connection lifts the spirit. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, keep your mind active, or simply find joy in the unexpected, this class invites you to shine, share, and celebrate life’s lighter moments.
